Czech Republic - We go green

Even though the Czech Republic is very close to us, I have never been there, in fact I have never even thought too much about traveling there. Given that the school offered us the opportunity to travel there as part of the We go green project, I decided to go. In my head, the Czech Republic was similar to Croatia, and in the end it turned out that way. People have a very similar character to us, they are all open, kind and like to meet new friends. We couldn't really coordinate our languages, so the simplest thing was for us all to speak in English together. Although it was easy for us to communicate with Slovenians, because they understand Croatian, and we understand Slovenian to some extent. I was most afraid of food, I'm quite picky when it comes to food. I have no problem trying new food, but I can't guarantee that I will eat it again. As for Czech food, there were good days and bad days, but we never went hungry because we had a store near the hotel, so we still ate Czech food, but mostly sweets (that was our go-to food). Even though the teachers knew that we weren't really into any kind of physical activity, they didn't let us slack off, everywhere we went, we went on foot. Now that I think about it, I'm glad we walked a lot because we got to know more things that way than if we drove everywhere. All in all, we had a great time, we made new friendships, but also upgraded old ones. We got acquainted with Czech culture, cuisine and even the life of local people.

Firstly, we arrived in Prague. We spent two days in Prague. The second day in Prague we were having a tour of the city. It was interesting. The most interesting part for me was Charles bridge. Later that day we arrived at Jindrihuv Hradec. It is a small town with a lot of history and beautiful things to see. We had the tour of the town, saw school, etc. It’s quite a small town but architecture is so pretty. We also went to see bisons at the Bison farm and to Czech Canda. I liked Czech Canda very much because of the green spaces. I didn’t like the idea of a lot people being there and touching almost everything, especially the rock formation Devil’s ass.

I liked this mobility because it had a lot of interesting workshops. I met new people and saw some old friends. I will recommend throwing disco golf around park… it’s very interesting and hard activity to do. The only thing i would change is that we have more free time when stores and cafes aren’t closed so we can look around without being in a hurry.

when we finished with it, we presented it. Afterwards we were planting a tree.

After free time, we had farewell dinner at the Concertino hotel.

The mobility in the Czech Republic was amazing. One of my best, I must say. I have to

admit, it was a little tedious, because they wanted to show us many sighs in little time. Their

students as hosts were amazing, at least in my case. Everyone in my group was so friendly,

open and communicative. All of us connected quickly. And some of us became friends.

Czech is a beautiful country and Jindřichův Hradec is beautiful town. Activities and

excursions were fun and interesting. Everyone had great presentations about their plants

and animals in their region. We learned about some animals we didn`t know about before.

Also, I learned a new sport, which is disc golf. Which I didn`t know that even existed. But it

was fun game and we all had fun going around city park and playing it. I am a nature lover

and visit to their forest, which they call Czech Canada, was one of my favorites alongside

their cuisine. The woods are so beautiful, so green and it was a good walk for everyone. We

were on a watchtower, where you can see all the woods. The whole mobility was exciting,

and I can`t wait for this mobility to continue in Norway.

I will remember mobility in the Czech Republic as a very nice experience that I would like to repeat. We saw a lot of beautiful things, had fun, and learned something new. I liked St. Vitus Cathedral and would like to go back there. I also liked Jindrichuv Hradec, a beautiful little town full of culture.
